Christmas gifts with mason jars - Cookie Mix

These are the recipes I followed from Pinterest to make the cookie mixes:

I printed out these tags to show the ingredients and instructions on how to bake the cookies

My mom found these mason jar toppers at Walmart and these can also be used as gifts :)

Christmas Gift DIY - Mason Jars

What you'll need:
  • Mason Jars
  • Christmas ribbon/colored ribbon
  • A hot glue gun with sticks
  • Mini Christmas ornaments
  • Scissors
  • Christmas Labels (optional)
  • Bow maker (optional)

For this project, I'm planning on fixing up some mason jars filled with cookie mix for some DIY Christmas presents. I have seen some mason jar ideas on Pinterest, but for the most part these are ideas I've thought up while working on them.

First, I found some ribbon I had here, measured it off by wrapping it around the top of the mason jar and cut it where the two ends meet.

I used a hot glue gun to connect the two ends together, making sure the ribbon is tight around the top of the mason jar. For the ribbon with two layers, I followed the same steps as above just on top of the first layer.

After gluing the ribbon at the top of the jar, I started making the bow. I used a bow maker, but I'm sure there are other ways to make them without using it.

After I made the bow, I glued my mini ornaments onto the base/middle of the bow, under the bow itself.

I made two more like these but with different kinds of ribbon.

another way to use these mason jars as a decoration - I used gold tinsel for the inside

This one is going to have a mini-manicure set inside as a Christmas gift instead of cookie mix. For this one, I decided not to use the mini ornaments.
